Singapore is a multiracial country with a population made up of Chinese, Malays, Indians and other races. To bridge this communication gap between the races and dialects used by the population at large and the nursing students, a database with audio capability of commonly-used phrases by nurses, are made available in Mandarin, the Hokkien and Cantonese dialects as well as Malay.
